Her Story

Cynthia is a long-time Gahanna community partner.

Cynthia has worked for the City of Gahanna’s financial department for nearly twenty years, and currently serves as its payroll analyst. She dedicates her time to children’s well being. In 2022, Cynthia was appointed to the advisory board for Crown Preparatory Academy. After attending the school board meeting with discussions on launching a LifeWise program, a program for kids to gain real world personal skills, she decided to do better for children by running for the Gahanna-Jefferson School Board.

Her Agenda includes eliminating the causes of tensions between parents and teachers, encouraging school choice, investing in Parental involvement, financial responsibility, reducing student anxiety, and restoring programs like LifeWise to give kids real world experience and role models.

As a voice for the Gahanna-Jefferson School District, she’ll seek to build programs that assist students with failing grades (2.5 GPA, and below) who are suffering from emotional challenges, mental health difficulties, bullying, and low self-esteem.

Cynthia has fostered 28 children, had 2 biological children graduate from the district, assisted with ACT testing, and volunteers for the boys and girls field and track teams and their summer camp. Her favorite volunteering is always with Gahanna Residents In Need (GRIN) and Shop with a cop.

Cynthia is married to Aaron Lampkins, and together they have a blended family of six children, and eighteen grandchildren. She currently has three foster children attending GLHS.
